Hibiki-Ami (ひびき網）April – September（４月から９月）
“Hibiki-ami” is a traditional fishing method unique to Kahoku City. It is a fishing method that can be done by a small group of people and originated in the past when local people went out to catch fish for dinner. By working together with your friends to pull the net, you can catch live fish! After the experience, you can cook and eat together using the fish you caught and local ingredients.
かほく市ならではの伝統漁法「ひびき網」。昔は地元の人が晩御飯の魚を獲りに行くことから始まった少人数でもできる漁法。仲間と力を合わせて網を引いていくと、生きた魚がかかります！体験後は、捕れた魚や地元の食材を使って一緒に料理をして食べることができます。
Farm work experience (畑仕事体験）April – October（４月から10月）
Depending on the season, you can also experience seasonal farm work such as rice planting and vegetable and fruit harvesting, as well as cooking using vegetables that you have harvested yourself.
季節に応じて、田植えや野菜・果物の収穫といった季節ごとの農作業や、自分で収穫した野菜を使った料理の体験もできます。

Create your own Japanese decorative knot using colorful paper cords.
Mizuhiki is a traditional art that symbolizes connection and good fortune.

Monaka Kumade Craft Experience(モナカクラフト熊手作り体験）
Create your own lucky “Kumade” charm using a unique Japanese monaka shell.
A Kumade is a traditional rake-shaped decoration believed to “gather good fortune.” In this workshop, you’ll design your own mini charm using monaka—a light, crisp wafer normally used for sweets—turned into a beautiful decorative base. Take home a small piece of Japanese culture filled with your own wishes for good luck.

Create a small leather item using ethically sourced wild boar hides.
In Japan, wild boars are sometimes hunted to protect farmland. Rather than waste this material, we transform the hides into beautiful, long-lasting leather. In this workshop, you’ll learn about local wildlife and sustainable production methods while creating your own unique accessory. You’ll leave with a meaningful piece that connects nature, culture, and craftsmanship.
